OneWebDay themes
March 17th, 2008 | by onewebday | Published in Uncategorized
OneWebDay is a local event – whatever political/outreach/connectivity goals you have, you should use it to serve those goals.
A major theme for OneWebDay 2008 could be a focus on how the web/Internet have furthered democracy around the world. Like democracy itself, online life is inherently decentralized. We’ve seen entire political movements spring up online – we’ve certainly seen political candidates use the web to cut down the distance between themselves and their constituents – and we’re just beginning.
So – consider democracy as a news-hook and activity-generator for OneWebDay 2008.

A new favorite (very OneWebDay) thing, coming from Tim Karr’s blog at Huffington Post: Rock the Net.
